Getting the word out Down Under
Yesterday, sabreman24 made good use of an eBay Australia Workshop: Introduction to the new Billing Platform. A simple observation was noted and in a later post sabreman24 provided a helpful link to the US Billing Issues thread.
Another person questioned the time chosen to hold the workshop.
The workshop is short, with few posts due to being held during off peak times and the questions regarding the snafu were glossed over by Pinks.
The entire workshop was:
* Populated with 2 Pinks and 4 members
* Duration of 59 minutes
* Consisted of 33 posts - 16 from Pinks
* 5 questions asked
* 3 questions unanswered
* 2 questions glossed over
Some EBay Users Seeing Double
91,000 sellers were double-billed last weekend, but the online auction giant isn't offering any details.
EBay spokesperson Kevin Pursglove says the problem was discovered Saturday morning and affected sellers who had signed up for eBay's direct pay program.
Pursglove characterizes the problem as "a snafu" but wouldn't offer any details into what exactly went wrong.

Why, thank you, Stef, for responding so expeditiously. Where you seem to be quite on the ball with things eBay, perhaps you could help us with our billing issues. There are not a few people still waiting for some attention. Admittedly, it is not as imperative as monitoring people who are trying to help each other for lack of a professional customer service department. I'm just sayin...
Oh, and before I close... would you please be more specific as to how I violated the "eBay User Agreement or Community Values?"
eBay's Getting Into the Music Biz
eBay News Roundup eBay is conducting a 180-day pilot in the Music category with pre-approved sellers of downloadable digital music files. During the pilot, only pre-approved sellers will be able to list in eBay�s Digital Downloads category. After 180 days, eBay will evaluate the pilot and determine whether to enable other copyright owners or resellers of downloadable media to list in eBay�s Digital Downloads category if they meet certain criteria...
It would be nice if they focused as much on bolstering the infrastructure as they are on generating diversified income.

This blog has been created as another resource for help to ebayers who have been ensnared in the ebay billing fiasco.

I am compiling a list of media and consumer contacts to help shed a spotlight on the consumer's side of the issue. Thus far, media coverage has been limited and has done little more than spread ebay's standard line of BS in blaming the consumer. They have openly stated that there are no problems, no members have been financially harmed, and those who say otherwise are merely confused. Hundreds if not thousands of us know that these are out-right lies. We need to show a very vocal and united front in exposing ebay's on-going fraudulent practices. Mrs. R set an excellent example for us all. Let's follow her lead and do everything in our collective power to expose ebay's dark side.
